The Oak Park Art League believes in the freedom of expression and the importance of the creative voice. For more than 90 years OPAL has sustained an environment to develop, nurture and exhibit the work of local artists, past and present while cultivating art appreciation in the community. Our mission is to provide access to the disciplines and development processes so that artists of all ages, from amateur to hobbyist, enthusiast to professional may refine their unique creative voice in our studios and galleries. One of the longest continually operating arts organizations in the Chicago area, the Oak Park Art League fulfills its mission through weekly art classes for adults and children, monthly exhibitions, open studio time, weekly live-model drawing sessions, artist lectures and promotion and sales of artist-made work.
The Oak Park Art League is a wonderful place to learn something new, express yourself and make some new friends! Join us and be a part of what’s happening at OPAL!
