At OPAL we believe in the freedom of expression and the importance of the creative voice. Since 1921 we have sustained an environment to develop, nurture and exhibit the work of local artists, past and present.
We honor a rich history and commemorate the role OPAL has played in bringing art and to the community in past years by keeping our traditions alive and further expanding our role in the community. OPAL continues to be a place for everyone to explore their creativity and develop their voice. Throughout the year we offer exciting art courses for adults and children, workshops, open studios and lecture series as well as opportunities for artists of any age or skill level to exhibit their work. We will be mounting a National juried exhibit in the fall of 2011, as a highlight to our anniversary year and there are many other exciting new events and monthly exhibits planned that you can be involved with.
The Oak Park Art League is a wonderful place to learn something new, express yourself and make some new friends! Join us and be a part of what’s happening at OPAL!
