Watercolorist Debbie Cannatella says viewers of her
work are drawn to many different things in her
paintings. Some gravitate toward the explosion of
color and other enjoy the way she captures life
moments or the details she gives to close-focus
subjects. She has studied with numerous national
artists around the country and is a member of The
Louisiana Watercolor Society, The Associated Women
in the Arts, the Transparent Watercolor Society of
America, Oak Park Art League, The Louisiana Art and
Artists' Guild, Southern Watercolor Society and
Southwest Watercolor Society. Besides solo shows,
she is involved in group and society invitational
exhibits as well as juried international
exhibitions. Though Debbie moved to Texas in 2007.
she remains active at OPAL by putting together our
