- The Oak Park Art League provides a well-rounded program of classes in the traditional arts for adults and children. Beginners are encouraged to explore their interest in art in a supportive, nurturing environment. Experienced artists are encouraged to enhance their skills and share their ideas with fellow artists in a structured, weekly format.

Classes Class sessions are typically 7 weeks long and run throughout the year for the following terms:Winter: January-March
Spring: April-May
Summer: June-August
Fall: September-October
Late Fall: October-December
Workshops OPAL offers an ongoing Workshop Series with a variety of techniques and media covered. $20/ workshop for OPAL members $25/ workshop for non-members Walk-ins welcome, however, you’ll receive $5 off if you register in advance.
Figure Classes Over the last several centuries, artists have recognized that figure drawing is a basic skill in art instruction. If you can draw the human figure quickly, you can draw anything. These sessions are fun! Come, be a part of the group. Tea, cookies and classical music are provided. All are welcome, fee is $10. for OPAL members, $15. for non-members.
Open Studio Work at your own pace in our historic studio setting. Easels, horses, drawing boards, and tons of inspiration are all available to you. Connect with other artists by working together in the same space. A site contact will be in the building but there will be no supervision or instruction. Self Directed, All Ages. $5 per visit. Times may vary throughout the year.
Private Instruction Taught by any of OPAL’s Instructors, Private art lessons allow students of any age to meet their personal artistic goals through one on one instruction. The students personal goals will guide the projects. Students will be placed with instructors based on availability and medium taught. Please detail your preferred date and time for classes and art mediums of interest when registering.
Pre-School Pop-In Adults bring your favorite little friend to the brand new Open Studio for 0 to 5 year olds! Explore art with our playful lesson plans or make up your own! Don’t worry you will never tire of our Cloud Room! There will always be something new for you to enjoy! So come over and have fun while you help develop your child’s Motor, Cognitive, and Social Skills! Stay for minutes or hours!
