The Oak Park Art League has been fostering an artistic community for over 85 years.

There are many ways that you can participate in that community.

Become a Member

Membership is open to professional artists, amateur artists and those interested in art. The many activities, social programs and committees allow  you to participate at the level you choose.

Memberships start at $35, to become a member of OPAL please download the membership application at the bottom of this page, and mail it to OPAL.

Become an Artist Member:

Artist Members receive the same benefits as other members as well as invitations to exhibit their work at Prairie Title, our satellite gallery, and to exhibit in small group or solo shows. Artist members must submit work to be reviewed and accepted by the Standards Committee. The Standards Committee accepts members twice a year.

Become a Corporate Member:

A corporation or business can also become a member of OPAL. Corporate Members receive special recognition in our materials, invitations to events, and a discount on utilizing our building for corporate events.

Become a Volunteer:

The Oak Park Art League is a not for profit organization and relies heavily on the generosity of individuals in giving their time and expertise to assist OPAL in its operations. 

OPAL is seeking volunteers for the following activities:

Join the Board of Directors:

The Oak Park Art League is operated under the guidance of a volunteer Board of Directors. This group of dedicated individuals oversees every aspect of OPAL' s operations. OPAL Board meetings meet the first Monday of every month at 7:00 in our main gallery. These meetings are open to the public. 

The Board of Directors is currently seeking an Exhibitions Chairperson and an Education Chairperson. If you are interested in learning more about these positions please attend a board meeting and share your interest with us then.

Teach a class:

The Oak Park Art League is fortunate to have a large selection of very talented and experienced working artists instructing our classes. OPAL has classes in a variety of mediums for students ages 3 1/2 through adult. We are currently seeking instructors for our fall course schedule. If you are interested in applying to teach please contact the gallery.

 
Donate to the Oak Park Art League:

There are many ways that you can donate to the Oak Park Art League.

Single Donation: These one-time gifts will be put to good use and would be very much appreciated. We accept donations of any amount and in the following forms, Cash, Check, Master Card, or Visa.

Memorial Gift: You can honor the memory of a loved one and allow them to inspire creativity in others by organizing a special fund, scholarship, or resource bearing their name. We would be honored to help you create this meaningful memorial.

In-Kind Donation: In-Kind Donations include the donation of services or equipment you think we could use such as computers, art materials, easels, cameras, etc.... Regardless of the nature of your donation OPAL will be most grateful for your generosity.

Adopt a Program: If one of our programs or classes are of particular interest to you, or your company, you can "adopt" it by providing financial support or other resources to assist in its development. We can assist you in  your selection and provide you or your organization with an informational kick-off.
